Xavier Faz leads CGAP’s work on Digital Finance Frontiers, a global initiative that seeks to expand the application of financial technologies and digital delivery models to enhance financial solutions focused on the poor. Mr. Faz’s work also includes exploring the link between financial inclusion and access to broader services. Mr. Faz manages CGAP’s work in Latin America.
Prior to CGAP, Mr. Faz was Director for Strategic Planning for a development bank in Mexico, where he developed a cloud based core banking platform focused on the Microfinance Sector, as well as a cards switch for non bank financial institutions. Before, Mr. Faz was a consultant with McKinsey & Company where he worked with organizations in technology and business model innovation. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and an Engineering degree in Electronic Systems from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, México.
